Martina from the sunshinequilting blog had asked me if I wanted to join this blog hop. And since I like the idea to meet new people and to find new interesting blogs. And besides that Martina and I have been friends for a long time, we even sewed some really nice quilts together like the New York Beauty Quilt , the Jelly Roll Quilt and the Winter Wonderland Quilt. I am happy to tell you a little bit about myself and my blog.
1. Warum blogge ich das was ich blogge? Why do I write/create what I do?
When I started blogging it was enough for me to show on my blog what I had created. But that has changed over the time, now I am always after the perfect picture. I want to show the things that I have created with love perfectly on the blog. I have the same fun photographing my things as I have creating them. When I go on day trips I often take my work with me to bring some beautiful pictures home.
If you want to see more pictures of these quilts you can follow this link, it will lead you to the blog posts about all my quilts.
2. Woran arbeite ich gerade? What quilting / sewing things am I working on?
I sew anything you can think of. I create quilts, bags and decorations. Sometimes I have an idea, and I then I have to sew right away. Right now I have re discovered my love to hand sewing, and I am working on hexagons, I want to sew Grits La Passion quilt. I joined her facebook group, and it is great fun to sew this quilt together with some friends. At the same time I have some other things going, I need a variety of projects to choose from.
I have invited a few of my long time blogging friends to join this blog hop. My friend Karen, whome I know in person, and who I sew with on a regular basis, agreed to participate. Karen likes modern patchwork, and modern fabrics. She has a few very nice patterns on the Moda Bake Shop, and she likes complicated patterns and sews very precisely. You can look forward to her blog post on September the 22nd, I bet she will have something mouth watering to show you!
The second blogger that will continue with this hop is Satu from Finland from the Quilttales Blog. We have met in 2009 when we both worked on the "girls day out quilt" in a challenge, and we have been following each others blogs ever since then. We also have a little birthday swap going, and I have received the most beautiful presents, made with lots of love from Satu. She likes to sew sampler blocks with lots of points and parts like the civil war diary blocks, or the farmers wife sampler blocks and she also is a good knitter. I am curious to see what Satu will show us next monday.
bye for now Eure Katrin W.
